Online meeting 9 March 2026
Date: 09.03.2026
Duration: ~48 minutes
Participants: Katrin Wurdinger, Gerd Bernau, Malte Neumann, Avijit Rastogi, Sylvia Estermann, Uwe Freitag, Melinda Hofmockel
1. Extension of OrderOptions -- "Gender"
- Rodenstock needs a new order option „Gender“
- This field does not yet exist in the current SF6/LC7 catalog.
- Proposal:
- Integration in existing SF6 under the free ID 84 (personal data section).
- In LC7 as a new enumeration field „Gender“.
- Discussion on versioning:
- Decision: create a new version 6.10.5, instead of extending 6.10.4.
- Effort in the wiki is high, but will be carried out.
To do:
→ Gerd integrates the new order option in version 6.10.5 and informs Nicole for final approval.
2. Technical topic: DeepL translation integration in the wiki
- A new plugin has been integrated that automatically translates missing pages (DE → EN/FR).
- How it works:
- German is the default language.
- When an English/French version is opened, the system automatically creates the translation.
- Limitation:
- No full automatic synchronisation of existing pages.
- A detailed presentation will follow at the in-person meeting.
3. Preparation for the in-person meeting -- Mausmühle
- Diana has sent information on room reservations.
- Room costs are borne individually by each participant;
- Meeting room costs and snacks are presumably covered by Rupp & Huprach.
- Attendance:
- Several confirmations, including Sylvia and Katrin.
- Please: participants should report their reservation requests directly to Diana.
4. Beta editor & error reports
- Lens price list merging:
- Very complex („product groups, export groups, addresses etc.“).
- Further bug fixes and extensions to follow.
- Error report from Katrin:
- Product group assignment in the lens no longer works in the current version.
5. Complete spectacles order (Complete Spectacles)
5.1 Basic idea
- It should be possible to order frame + 2 lenses together as a complete package.
- Two scenarios:
- Frame is ordered along with the lenses (manufacturer's stock item).
- Given Frame: the optician sends in the frame.
5.2 Challenges / technical questions
- How are frames and lenses correctly „matched“?
- Where should the logic reside?
- Frame catalogue
- Lens catalogue
- A new, third format (e.g. „LensFrameLink“)
- Or purely logic within the order process?
5.3 Catalogue topic
- Look4 catalogues sometimes have only 1 product ID + feature variants (e.g. sizes).
- Commercial Code is not always unique at SKU level.
- A manufacturer ID may need to be added.
5.4 Process-related requirements
- Opticians need frontend feedback:
- „Can the frame be glazed?“
- „Is the frame currently available for delivery?“
- Possible solution: web services
- Compatibility check: „Does lens X fit frame Y?“
- Stock availability check.
5.5 Outcome
- The topic is not purely a catalogue matter → it primarily belongs to B2B Optic Order / process logic.
- Uwe is internally collecting requirements and examples.
- Further work in a separate working group/meeting.
6. Miscellaneous
- Gerd reminds everyone that a short reminder should ideally be sent before each meeting so that preparation topics are completed.
7. Next meeting
13 April 2026
Until then:
- Finalisation of version 6.10.5
- Clarification of requirements for „complete spectacles“.
- Preparations for the in-person meeting.
